Requests

Hi

Love this board & have a request. Just saw the story about the naked Marines. Did search but only saw 1 request in 1 of the other topic sections.

Could we get a section for requests? Dont want to clutter the other subforums with requests & would be nice to have a dedicated subforum for all general requests & maybe if the request gets filled the topic could then be moved the the appropriate subforum?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that since the photos of the marines in question are part of a criminal investigation, it might be best not to request them or post them here, otherwise we get a visit from Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

I don't think Fed was asking for pics of the marines but for a section titles "Requests" that would be used when looking for somerhing. When it was found then the thread could be moved to the appropriate forum

You're right, ivanb, sometimes I jump the gun and seem like English is my second language.
It's been my experience from other forums that a separate Request section is rarely visited by anyone except those who want something. In other words, most people don't go there with the specific idea of, "gee, I think I'll go here and try to help some newbie find something."
From what I've seen here over the years is that a lot of people join as non-paying members, make requests before contributing anything, and after someone gives them what they want, they disappear; until they want something else.
Just my opinion, but I think a Request section would spawn more one-and-done members.
