I've ridden at Brighton quite a few times since 2007 and as long as it's dry and not windy, you should get a good turnout. The after ride swim may be less popular with 18 C, but that's a bonus. Facebook has 930+ riders, the biggest bar far with hundreds of young ladies saying they are riding. Obviously, not all will turn up and many will not strip totally, but it looks like a bumper year, as long as the weather stays reasonable.

London looks great, sunny spells and 21C, should be perfect. It looks like there will be a nude cycle jam on Westminster bridge, which should give good photo opportunities!

I might make the start at Brighton, but are unable to ride this year, looks like we at OCC seem to have both rides covered this year, something I've been trying to encourage for years! Good luck gentleman, have fun and try to bring as little WNBR spirit to those who cannot get there.

They are doing a 'rolling merge' i.e. no waiting for rides to catch up this time, this probably won't work, it's a bad idea and I think the riders won't like it either, so the ride might get strung out, having said that there are constrictions in the ride anyway.

Here are my plans;

Go to Marble Arch, it will be chaos, they will try and start the ride by Cumberland Arch, oh dear. The rumour is that they will start this big ride early and it will be slow and the other rides will fall in behind.

Before the ride leaves I'll walk up Oxford Street to Bond Street Station and take the Jubilee Line to Westminster, assuming there are no cyclists at this time I will walk up to the Cenotaph and wait for them, if they arrive and wait for other rides to catch up I'll stay and take footage, if they ride past I will follow to Westminster Bridge and follow the ride, I'll try and stay as far ahead as I can.

They are saying they will not stop Forum Magnum Square, this is nuts, but if they don't then I will continue to Waterloo Bridge and go over it, filming the ride as it passes but my aim will be to get to Lincoln's Inn Fields ASAP and spend as much time as I can there. When the ride leaves Lincoln's Inn Fields they tend to move slowish. I will go to Covent Garden and I have a place in mind that will be full of tourists and requires the cyclists to slow down, I haven't done this before so this is a risk.

I will then take the tube from Covent Garden to Hyde Park Corner, hopefully I will head off the ride. This is my personal opinion, but I have a strong suspicion that they will turn off the ride into Green Park, they have used language such as 'the end point isn't finalised' and they are ending in the 'Hyde Park Area' so I will walk up Constitution Hill and gauge where the final stop will be.

I hope this helps.
Many thanks for posting this and your previous with times. That could prove extremely useful as it's always difficult to know where they'll be at certain times.

Not sure if this will be of use to anyone but I found it while googling - a mapmyride taken by someone who rode last year from the Hyde Park start: hxxp://www.mapmyride.com/workout/607654719 Gives you an idea of how long each section takes, as well as showing the precise route of the ride, something I'd previously been unable to find. Interesting that it shows by far the longest stop/slowdown was in the Forum Magnum Square/Waterloo area.

I really don't know what I'll do, that's the long and short of it. Last year I did the assemby, got some shots as they gathered. Snapped the ride taking off along Park Lane. Then went off for a bit of a wander down towards the palace, and snapped the riders as they came down Constitution Hill. The big scrum at Wellington Arch meant longish delays, which presented the opportunity for some pictures as the riders waited to enter the small area they had to use as a makeshift finish. Also got some bits and pieces among the riders happy to pose once the ride was done.

Didn't get a spectacular haul, but it was still better than previous years. Tempted to do something similar again as I always feel that venturing out into the city is fraught with risks. The obvious one being to miss everything if the ride deviates from previous ones, as happened last year and caught a good few snappers out.

Do you think that's feasible? Or is it unlikely I'll beat the ride getting from Westminster to Lincolns Inn Fields on the tube (it's about 12 minutes journey according to TfL).
Or would I be better off on foot? I don't mind a bit of a run!

Obviously I'll share any photos I do get on here.
Better off on foot IMHO. Try and get to the north end of Waterloo Bridge at least, that's where they have to slow down, then it isn't too far to get to Lincoln's Inn Fields.

Thanks, unless anyone advises me otherwise, I'm going to try and catch the ride at Wesminster Bridge, run over to Waterloo Bridge, and then go to Lincolns Inn Fields (via Kingsway at the top of The Strand, a more direct route than the ride is planning on taking). I'll have to walk fast/jog at times, but I'm hoping it's do-able!
