Amy Ashcroft protests topless outside Arizona Medical Board

A Valley woman held a very open protest outside the Arizona Medical Board meeting Wednesday, protesting against a well-known Valley surgeon and the board.

Amy Ashcroft protested topless outside holding signs. She claims Dr. William Leighton botched a breast enhancement surgery leaving her disfigured and in pain.

The Board dismissed her complaint after an independent medical consultant determined there was no deviation from the standard of care.

“I kind of expected it,” said Ashcroft, who has been informed there is no appeal for the dismissal. “I just want to let people know and if I can save anyone the pain I went through.”

The Board confirmed that they are investigating 15 other complaints about Dr. Leighton.

Dr. Leighton has been well known in the Valley. Ashcroft even said she chose him because of his reputation.

Leighton is most recently known for providing free reconstructive surgery to a four-year old boy who was mauled by a pit bull.

Leighton's attorney released a statement Wednesday, saying in part Leighton is relieved and now vindicated by the actions of the Board and its long-awaited dismissal of Ashcroft's complaint.

Patient bares disfigured breast to AZ medical regulators

A woman who accuses her plastic surgeon of disfiguring her breast stripped off her top Wednesday to show her bare chest to the regulators who decide whether doctors should be punished.

"He called this artwork in my patient records, he called this his artwork," Amy Ashcroft told the 15 Arizona Medical Board members and staff during the board meeting's public comment period. "Does this look like artwork?"

Ashcroft, who was wearing pasties, was hustled out of the meeting room by two security guards and a board staffer.

As she was being pushed out, Ashcroft shouted: "Where's my breast? It's missing." She left the meeting room to the applause of several supporters in the audience.

Scottsdale police were called but they declined to arrest Ashcroft.

Venezuelan TV presenters strip naked to show support for national team at Copa America

A group of female television presenters have stripped naked to film a message of support for the Venezuelan national team at the Copa America.

Eight presenters from news website Desnudando la Noticia stripped naked to send a message to Noel Sanvicente's team, who begin their campaign against Colombia on Sunday.

The presenters, who call the players 'gladiators' in their message of support, have also promised to release more naked videos if the team progresses into the latter stages.

Venezuela managed to get to the semi-finals in 2011, where they lost on penalties to Paraguay.

The presenters claim their presenting style is aimed at "empowering women".

Bodybuilding student, 19, strips NAKED and streaks through university campus after beating bullies to win popularity contest

A student who became a body-builder to fend off her bullies has fulfilled her promise to streak through her university after winning a popularity competition.

Fitness fanatic Caitlin Ward proudly showed of her newly-toned physique as she sped her way around Sheffield University on a motorbike with just gaffer tape covering her modesty.

The 19-year-old had promised on Facebook to streak if she won the university's "Big Name On Campus" popularity contest, also known as BNOC.

More than 500 first-year students voted for Caitlin and the politics student stayed true to her word, arriving on campus on her motorbike with just gaffer tape covering her modesty.

Caitlin, originally from Brighton, East Sussex, had no qualms about getting her kit off - but it used to be a different story.

The well-toned bodybuilder was teased in college because cruel students believed she was fat.

She now spends ten hours a week in the gym and is a size eight rather than the size 12 she was aged 14.

She said: "Once I started going to the gym and for runs in the fresh air, all the negative comments began to mute in my head and it made me a more positive and happy person."

After winning the popularity contest Caitlin told student newspaper The Tab: "I thought I'd say it as it would be funny if I won but I didn't expect to.

"And when I did I was shocked.
