That pic predates the Twitter thing, anyhow, but yeah, hard to say. She's mentioned wearing briefs before on her twitter, though we've also seen thongs exposed during matches on rare occasion, so she must wear them at least sometimes.

Yes, it's a thong. I zoomed in on Photoshop. You can even see the black pixels where the tiny shadow is next to the strap. Plus, if you compare the skin tone with the light side of her face you can see they pretty much match.

Somewhat tangential and unrelated but I remember watching an interview (I believe as part of a photoshoot) with Trish Stratus where she talked away bra and panties matches, specifically where she almost stripped Stacy completely naked. I've checked the diva of the year ones and it's not those. I can't for the life of me find it again.
