The Dune of Pilat / Pyla

Located on the Atlantic coast about 40 miles from Bordeaux is Europe's largest Sand Dune.
It's 2.7Km long, 500M wide and 110 Meters high.

It's impressive - I visited there recently. It's hard work but you can climb to the top.

If you know your Sand Dunes, then you know they are steep on one side - about 34 Degrees.

So why does this interest us.........?

If you walk up it, from the land side, it is very steep.......as I mentioned 34 degrees, so one way to get up there is on all 4's.....and if you are wearing a skirt you may get photographed.

Had to be discrete, the BF was looking back and I was with my wife.
