I'm qouting this whole essay from myself:

For recognizing Hungarian camps, here are the signs that reveal that the camp is one of them:

- Colorful wristbands made of paper - very common at our events. They don't often spend on more durable wristbands, but wristband made of fiber or plastic is also possible. This is the first thing I search for on photos (a strong Hungary-indicator), because getting them off is discouraged if they are obligatory. For example, the faculty BGF KVIK/KVIF/KVIFK can be seen on their wristbands.
- Badges (= name tags) hanging around the neck. You can almost never identify anything on it, only its structure. I have seen that they often put the person's picture on it. But in one case I could read the girl's name - from this, her nationality is immediately clear, and so is that of the camp. Sometimes the holder tape is also informative depending if it is provided by the university or just some company (I have an ELTE example - with its long name).
- Cheap, one-colored uniformal (team) t-shirts, that everyone has (they order it in big numbers). Color may be different in each team and each year, different for organizers and participants (freshmen). But if you see a bunch of people in the same large, unfashionable t-shirts of vivid color (like orange, yellow, blue), you can immediately know it is at least near Hungary. On the back, there are the logos of sponsors - sometimes this is informative too. For example Hídépítő (seen mostly on the top) is a company tied to BME építő faculty. (ftp: vpk ... this one seems to have leaked for lots of years :P)
In the front, the faculty may be very well indicated (see the infamous "Építőkar" logo that depicts a bridge), sometimes also the year - but you don't always know if the person has been to the camp in the previous year and is wearing the t-shirt of that.
Mostly in the front, there is a large printed picture (using 1 color) that is recogizable from far. Not what is exactly on it (bad pic quality), but you can tell if two t-shirts in different photos are the same = the venue is the same.
(These t-shirts are a bit too thick for playing wet t-shirts. Not transparent enough.)
-And anywhere you see a drawing of a stork (long legged, long beaked bird) you can be almost sure it is a Hungarian gólyatábor, as stork=gólya.

-The country is revealed from the language, so always zoom to any text you see. Peculiarities of Hungarian language are:
-- accented vowels: aáeéiíoóöőuúüű but never "aa", or "ee", like in Finnish. It is not possible to have a long vowel and a long consonant next to each other. In Finnish, it is. Umlaut (ä) means Swedish (skj) or German (sch, ist...)
-- long consonants are doubled, consonants are never accented (although neighboring countries use accents like ć)
-- y is always after a consonant, namely: gy, ly, ny, ty; and it is mostly followed by a vowel, because it is not a sound, but a modifier. (the word gólyatábor corresponds to this pattern)
(hallgatói önkormányzat is an exception). English "y" is by "j" or "i"
-- no "w" or "x". "w" is common is Polish
-- presence of "sz", "cs", "zs" (= s, ch, french j) is key. "dz" and "dzs" are very rare but possible

- Hungarian city names, like Szolnok in a series of photos, or of course, Bódvarákó or Rákó.
- Geography. Hungarian lake Balaton is quite big but it is not a sea. And there are no high mountains near it. Bódvarákó has a small river with a bridge.
- Vegetation: possibly it is just the machine but very green grasses are on Scandinavian photos. Also, if there are many pine and birch trees it may be in a northern country
- Buildings, architecture (can't be too modern, and no nordic houses)
- ID tables of cars (if is not censored): ABC-123 pattern. Country code is H.

This is like Crime Scene Investigation...
