Repeat Riders - Brighton 2015 & 2014 (1 of 2)
These lovely ladies were a couple of my favorite riders from the 2014 ride in Brighton. It took me a while to recognize them in the photos from 2015.
I apologize if these connections had already been pointed out on this thread, but I hadn't seen it. Huge thanks to the original photographers who documented these events... I hope they all exhibited some respect for these brave participants. The first girl has the floral tattoo on her thigh. This year she wore a blue wig with a unicorn horn. An amazing beauty.

Repeat Riders - Brighton 2015 & 2014 (2 of 2)
This second young woman appeared to be a really vibrant free spirit in 2014. Photographs this year show her being more protective of herself. After riding completely bare last year, this year she wears long gloves and a short lace skirt.
Simply beautiful.

The blue unicorn girl and her group were like different people this year, frequently berating snappers, even those who were respectful (which was most). I can't see the point in taking part if you're going to spend the whole day getting a strop on with anyone holding a camera. Maybe it was the lack of sun this time but they weren't any fun at all

Yes, well worth citing; also note that most recent additions there are from both Brighton and London, and feature the distinctive style we've remarked on in recent years. Also worth a mention: new dariusz beach ones and, to appease that NOLA requester, proof that there was some nudity there this year, at least avant le deluge:

Celebration vs Exploitation

I do want to thank those that document these events with respect. World Naked Bike Ride (and similar events) require a mix of participants, spectators, photographers, and social media. Without all of these roles, the message has no way of being communicated. Unfortunately that mixture is often out of balance. For the most part the participants are not sexual exhibitionists (like many Fantasy Fest participants). They are global citizens demonstrating and raising their voice through the expression and vulnerability of their bodies. I sympathize with those participants that feel they are being objectified. They should be celebrated and feel supported by their communities. There is a minority of people that attend these events simply for exhibitionist reasons. They can attract and feed over-aggressive gawkers and internet trolls. The civility and celebration of these events starts to erode. I participate in online forums like this, and fully realize that I can be considered as simply another internet perv. That's not my intention... but the imbalance of social media doesn't allow for much nuance. It's hard to distinguish between those being respectful and those that are not.
