Here is another term that is just mass confusion~
 The Cut of One's Jib! Meaning: The way one looks or conducts themselves (usually negative). That new BRIDE seems a bit too lackadaisical to me, I'm not sure that her hubby is going like the cut of her jib~

Batton Down the Hatches! Meaning: Prepare for trouble, take precautionary measures. This wife was Batton down the hatches, but this guy was determined to get into one of them~
