I can't help thinking this is one argument that neither side is likely to win here.

Clearly Osreb is stubbornly unrepentant, but duplicates very obviously irritates many too.

Perhaps if Osreb could try just a little harder to avoid posting stuff which has gone before, and those who are irked by repeat images could just ignore them?

The last thing we need is the thread descending into a petty flame war with neither side giving an inch.

osreb's whole motive is to repost and get as many thanks as he can. if someone is new and reposts some photos because they weren't aware they were posted before, no biggie. it's happened and i don't say anything to discourage their interest and potential future posting. osreb is a different beast entirely. anyway, the mods removed his entire recent post.
