Fancy getting nude in a cinema full of strangers? Now you can – just BYO towel

For the first time in Australia, film festival audiences in Melbourne and Sydney are being invited to strip naked to watch special screenings of the Belgian cult hit Patrick, promoted as “a Shakespearian tragi-comedy set in a nudist colony”.

“This is going to be a unique and memorable cinematic experience,” says Hudson Sowada, director of the 2021 Fantastic Film Festival Australia. “Patrick has been seen around the world, but never by a nude audience before.”

Brockport woman charged for entering neighbor's home while naked, stealing beer

roopers say a Brockport woman is facing numerous charges after entering her neighbor’s home while naked and stealing a beer.

According to state police, Jessica Chase faces multiple felonies including burglary, criminal trespassing and endangering the welfare of children.

Officials say she also faces misdemeanor charges related to open lewdness, indecent exposure and use of drugs.

Troopers say they were called the morning of April 7 to a home on Keystone Road in Horton Township for reports of a naked woman with a blanket over her drinking a beer on her neighbor’s porch.

A Bismarck woman is facing charges after police found her naked, lying just off of Columbia Road early Thursday morning.

Officers say the woman was “unclothed” and had minor injuries to her arms and feet. Altru paramedics transported the woman to the emergency room.

Las Vegas news anchor arrested after she’s found sleeping naked in parked car

A Las Vegas television anchor was arrested after being found asleep and naked in her parked car, with no memory of how she got there.

Feven Kiflegiorgis, whose on-air name at KVVU-TV is Feven Kay, was sentenced last week to a $1,000 fine and ordered to take driving lessons, reported the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Naked woman leads Arkansas police on chase, gets tackled by officer

A woman in a stolen truck led police on a chase in northwest Arkansas that ended when she got out of the truck naked and was tackled by an officer.

A caller told the Lamar Police Department that a white pickup truck carrying “several loaded guns” and pulling a loaded trailer was stolen around 4:15 p.m. on March 25, according to a police report. Less than 10 minutes later, an Arkansas State Police trooper found the truck traveling west on Interstate 40 near mile marker 57.

The driver, later identified as 48-year-old Deidra Lewis, refused to pull over, according to the report. She began a pursuit with multiple police agencies for about 10 miles. Police said Lewis tried to shake off the items on the back of the trailer, leaving cargo on the road.

Nude selfies at 35,000ft! The artist stripping off in airplane bathrooms

In 2018, on a 16 hour-long flight from New York to Taipei, Taiwanese artist John Yuyi stepped into the bathroom cabinet and took a selfie in the mirror. It’s something most of us have done at some time or another, as a way of capturing an unusual, disjointed, and occasionally disconcerting moment when there’s nothing but 35,000 feet of air between us and our lives on earth.

What likely separates most of our shots from Yuyi’s, however, is one small detail – having stripped off her clothes as she entered the cubicle, the image depicts her almost entirely nude.

“It was definitely a bit of a lightning flash moment,” she reveals. “I couldn’t sleep, so I went to wash my face and clean up a bit, and just decided to do it. After I left the toilet, I just walked back to my seat. It felt really weird – like you’ve told yourself an inside joke, and you’re the only one that knows.”

In the three years since that first, spontaneous moment, the idea has evolved into a full-blown series – although not all of the photos make the cut.
