(NN) US TV lingerie ads

These are all in Quicktime format. I've had them for a while but I had to figure out how to vidcap them using Irfanview. Will load the previews and first vid now, with the other two to follow.

1) Ceremonial.mov - I love the mockumentary humor of this one. The fruit-suit guys (not used in advertisements since the '70s) are confused as to their "ceremonial" roles at a fashion show. The models completely ignore them. Sort of reminds me of the scene in "She's Having a Baby", where Kevin Bacon accidentally takes the baby into the women's dressing room. (Does anyone happen to have that clip, by chance?) (1:03, 4.5 MB)

2) Pregnant.mov - Various women, all rehearsing announcing their pregnancy in front of a mirror. From around 1999 IIRC. None are visibly preggo, if that helps. (47 sec., 3.5 MB)

3) Hanes512.mov - In Spanish, and featuring rapid-fire snippets from what appear to be many different ads. Not all are lingerie, nor women, but the girl with the paintbrush on top of a ladder (in front of a wide open window!) is pretty damn hot IMHO. I wonder if there's a full length ad with this scene in it. (47 sec., 2 MB)

Glad you liked them, Moose. Enjoy the other two ads, and rember that lingerie did not appear on actual models (instead of mannequins) in US commercials until 1987. So that's got to count for something.

Oh man, I definitely remember some screen shots from this video as being in an old "Hanes Her Way" commerial from the early 90s...
The girl on the ladder is one of them...
I could even say based on the "Olympic" logo at the end of this that it probably aired in 1994 during the winter olympics....
Somebody must still have an old tape from that time period...it would be really something to see this commercial again
I believe sexiness in commercials seemed to run much more rampant in the early 90s, as opposed to today which is getting harder and harder to find....

There were so many jump cuts in this vid it made me dizzy. I suspect that many were produced for Spanish-language TV, which might explain why I hadn't seen them before. If the girl with the paintbrush exists in a full-length ad (I Hope!) I'd love to see it. Most of these ads probably aired on daytime TV, when I'm unfortunately at work.

I recently saw (on some TV show about advertising) the 1987 ad (Maidenform I think, but don't quote me on it) that was the first in the US that showed lingerie on actual models as opposed to those silly plastic manequins (remember those? Blecch!). Bunch of women, in professional attire, and for a second or so they'd be just wearing a bra on top, then back to normal. Great concept that wasn't quite as sexy as it could have been, but probably worth posting if someone's got it, if for no other reason than as a historical relic.
