This weekend: Photozella at Bare to Breakers

Yes, thats right - the Photozella crew is going mobile!

Photozella is a Coccozella.com invention, and it mainly involves photographers and naked people - need I say more?

Anyway, this year, a Photozella event is scheduled to coincide with Bare to Breakers, the naked run that happens this Sunday in San Francisco. What that means is that a small (but photogenic) group of Photozella nudes will be running alongside the other participants, and anyone can jump in and photograph them. Some of the women will be model types. Recent Bare to Breakers have been somewhat disappointing, but with the addition of some Photozella nudes, I'm figuring this years run ought to be worth covering. So - this is a heads up in case anyone lives in the area and can get over there. The folks at Cocco's aren't able to be too forthcoming on the exact number of participants, but it likely will not be more than 25 (men and women, BTW). Small but oh, so naked.....

Someone asked me recently if it was worth paying money to join Coccozella. I offered the opinion (some may disagree) that it is worth it for the Photozella pics alone. In time, maybe this will be accepted as true by all.

Anyway, Bare to Breakers is only four days away, and new 2008 pics are certainly welcome right here in this thread.

Nice news update Klondike, I used to love this event, but in recent years the naked college students have not shown up.

Hopefully the 'Photozella' crowd will help, but they are a bit too 'pierced and tatoo covered' for my tastes, on the whole!

At the time i had access to Cocco, i liked the Photozella pics. But i agree with Pedro, the natural, not so pierced and/or tattood types are my favorites.
And i hope that those Cocco-participants will inspire some other woman, girls, students to join fully naked.
And the last editions of B2B were sponsored by Dutch bank/financial company ING, so may be they could bring in some Dutch progressive flair.

When the first Photozella pics came out, there was a fair amount of dissatisfaction among members regarding the "look" of many of the women. It went beyond the piercings and tatoos, really, to include the whole SF/alt look.

I think the organizers have taken some steps since then to feature a more "balanced" group. Coccozella is out of Toronto, BTW - not SF as I might have thought. But neither one is Texas, for example, and a fair number of Cocco members are "freepers" (freerepublic.com) i.e SF haters.

I agree. I just joined a couple of weeks ago, and I feel it was well worth it.

I didn't pay a dime. Photog's privilege.

Say what you want, but they have poured all that money back into creating a first class site that is constantly being improved. The events guide, for example, is shaping up to be awesome.

Go out and shoot some pics, Slagboy. Really, you can do it in an afternoon and be diving into their archives by the next day.
