Great feature, used it a couple of times already.

Could see myself using it a couple of times a day, would that be considered over thanking??

I don't foresee any major problems with "over thanking" or "thanking abuse".

Feel free to use the button as often as you see posts that you enjoy. That's what it's there for.

I have been a long time member who has not been a prolific uploader, but have uploaded any that I could find or were in my personal collection that seemed to fit. My main frustration has been the number of times that I would click on a series that I was wanting to complete the download only to find that a thank you was all that was there. I have also wondered if anyone appreciated the pics or movies I have uploaded. So I understand both sides of the eternal question of providing thanks without overloading the new postings. I feel very strongly that this button is the answer to solving this. Thank you for providing this compromise.

I think its going to be a lot of fun tracking thank you's and I want to thank the mods for adding this feature.

I noticed that thanks are per post, not per thread as i had thought they might be. This enables an author to thank someone for thanking him! I think I will use that often because i am often very grateful when i get thanks. So I can thank someone for thanking me (as long as they formally replied, not just used the button).

So be on the lookout for these return thanks guys...

I like this new button for at least 2 reasons, 1 it doesnt bump the thread and now there will be less of the "im not posting anymore! 500 views and 1 thanks " tantrum posts.

thank button is genius. keeps threads from balloonging just from thanking and allows you to say "kick ass" without taking up another eight inches of page.
