videos wont fastforward ?

i've download a couple videos and some of them do not let u fastforward or rewind.. is there a program or somthing to fix this? i have downloaded some huge hour long videos and do not want to watch the intro etc.

I downloaded a little utility called wmvindexer that works great for wmv files.

the thing is some of these files are not wma yet avi or mpegs..

My guess is that it's a codec problem on your computer. You might need to get VirtuaDub or something like it and reindex the files with a common codec. Or it may just plain be a matter of lack of CPU power.
