Does anyone else have this problem? When I go to open some of my OCC folders (which uses Windows Explorer---not Internet Explorer) I get a Windows message that LSX_MPEG PLayer has caused Windows Explorer to close. This message refers me to the Ligos site, which is of no use at all. On occasion I get the same message regarding Windows Media Player. This only happens in a few of my OCC folders. Since it doesn't occur in my non-OCC folders, it seems that some of the MPEG vids I've downloaded from OCC are causing the problem.
I've run anti virus software, spyware software, and searched to see if somehow I have LSX_MPEG Player installed, all to no avail. I'm not even sure what LSX_MPEG Player is. If anyone has experienced this, or better yet, cured the problem, I'd greatly appreciate some help. Right now I can't open some of these folders to view non MPEGs. Is there another way to access folders and files in XP other than Windows Explorer? Thanks in advance, Gawker |

I encountered a similar problem on a PC I used to use. I don't have an elegant solution. I did norrow down the symptoms of the problem to be somehow related to the way Windows automatically creates thumbnails for certain video fromats. If possible, try changing the folder view so that thumbnails are not enabled. For example, "View->List".
I hope someone else can offer advice more specific to your problem. Good luck,
