Default How to join/merge several video clips into one?

Question has probably been asked many times before but my attempts to find prior post or advice via the seach feature have been fruitless...

Can anyone point me to a prior post or better yet can you give me a name or site that has this utility? And if is a freebie, then it would be much better. Mind you I'm not too computer saavy, so a "user friendly" one would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance for your time and efforts.

If you have Windows XP, you will be able to do this with Windows Movie Maker. It comes bundled free with XP.

Other than that, I'm sure there is free software that will work for you but I don't have anything I can recommend.

Hopefully someone else can help.

Thanks,

I recently started mucking with VideoReDo Plus. It can do that, and edit clips and is very easy to use even to use for an editing novice such as myself. However, it's only got ~15day trial period though.

What file types are you trying to join jzm003x ? If they are .avi's check out Peck's Power Join-its free and easy to use. For mpegs you might try Camel's MPEGJoin.
Both can be found here hxxp://member.newsguy.com/~theprof/
For asf, wmv or wma files there is asftools hxxp://www.geocities.com/myasftools/
hope this helps
