Some e-mail hosts aren't reliable at delivering messages from our forum. Or they have been blocked because they are used primarily by spammers.
You need to use an e-mail address that is from a different domain to ensure you can receive messages from us in case you ever need support or to recover your password.

Default Very Slow Uploading Videos

I hate to add a complaint, but yesterday I uploaded a video on the Carry On thread (9mins long) and it took nearly an hour. Today I've uploaded 2 videos on the Benny Hill thread - one using Internet Explorer, then other Mozilla - and the 3min video took 24mins on IE, while the 48 sec video took just under 5mins with Mozilla. Is this an OCC issue, or the browser I'm uploading these from? The reason I ask is that when I tried logging in yesterday, OCC said my password had expired after 430 days and I needed a new one. I did so, then attempted to upload a video, only after 30 mins for it to say I couldn't upload videos until I had a oneclickchick pass and had logged me out. I logged in again without applying for the OCC Pass and attempted the video upload again, which as mentioned took nearly an hour for a 9min video.

Please tell me this is a site issue and that uploading videos will be quicker, as I wanted to upload a number of videos before I left. If it's going to take this long, then I might as well delete the rest I have in my folder.

Hoping the problem can be sorted,
Bounci

First time ever I got the password change message but it was something like 9432 days, which is odd because it doesn't correspond to my membership join date.
I thought maybe a glitch and tried to get around it but had to change it.

Thumbs up

Just attempted to upload a video, and thankfully it's back to normal and working quickly again. Thanks to OCC and the Mod who fixed the issue. Much appreciated!

Same here. Thought maybe the site had been hacked. I couldn't get the to the site using Firefox yesterday, it kept saying the security certificate issuer was unknown. Able to get to it today, but had to change the password. Maybe one of the admins could shed some light on what is going on.

Yes, I was asked to change password yesterday too. Days total was way below that figure mentioned above.

Might be total coincidence but today I got a PayPal notification about someone trying to request a passcode. Seems that's happened to plenty people having Googled it and it's probably not linked but an answer on the password thing would be good.

It is a new security measure that we are asking our members to update their password after 180 days.
It's not a result of a hack or safety breach.
We also want to make sure our members are using a currently active e-mail address so they can receive support from us in the future.

I am glad others have had the same "issue". About middle of February I got the "make a new password" message. In trying to make a new password got the "don't recognize that email domain" message (mine is hotmail). Sorry, I'm not about to make a new email account, but was essentially blocked from entering OCC. Today, five weeks later, I happen to try to get in--and was successful with old password. Glad to be back, but somewhat mystified. I am glad it isn't (apparently) a hack, but (of course) wonder how long I'll be here. As this may be the last anyone ever hears from me: love you all, be well and be good.
