Default Question about Laguna del Sol in Wilton (Sacratmento)

We're heading down in August, never been there before...but have been to many other nudist resorts. Where would be the best (closest) accomodations on site that are nearest the pools, restaurant and bar? I can't find a decent grounds map, so I'm reaching out here and on a couple of nudist forums. We really don't want to be far from the action and it appears that the "luxury rooms" are on the far side of the lake. Thanks for any advice!

The condo building (a.k.a. the "White House" with the luxury rooms) has an indoor pool, but is indeed on the opposite side of Lake Archie from the main outdoor pools and the restaurant/bar. It isn't that far, especially if you cut over the bridge across the lake. The White House is always where we've stayed, so I can't say how far the other rooms are from the pools.

We stayed in the "White House" last time we were there. While it does have an indoor pool, its on the opposite side of the lake, away from where most of the socializing is taking place. If you're staying in August its pretty damn hot, you don't really need to use the indoor pool. It all depends on what you are looking for. My girl and I like to socialize when we go there, so we prefer to be where the action is.

Default Description of LDS

We used to have a park model home there. We would stay there at least two weeks at at time and had many friends there. We were on the far west side of the property and always enjoyed the nude walks to the different activity areas. Everything at LDS is clothing optional at all times, so you can enjoy the restraunt, lounge, and dances nude, just carry a "sitting" towel.

Things are a little spread out at LDS, as it is a rather large property surounding a large lake with an isthmus from the east shore in the middle. A footbridge connects it to the west shore. The long path aroung the lake is quite nice, and there is also a side trail to the Consumnes River bounding the property to the north.

The main dry camping areas are on the east side of the lake, just north of the big house. The main motor home and RV area is on the west side, a couple of hundred yards north of the resteraunt and main pool area. The club house/lounge bar is on the south shore of the lake. The club house is where the dances are held every Friday and Saturday night.

Other than camping there are 3 different types of overnight accomodations at LDS.

The Luxury Rooms at the big house on the east side of the lake are nice, a bit of a walk from the main pool. They also do not have any "kitchen" facilities. Although there is an indoor pool at the big house most people prefer to walk to the main pool.

The smaller motel rooms are on the south west corner of the property and also a bit of a walk to the main pool. But they are near the tennis courts, the exercise room, the game room, and the public laundry.

Our friends' favorites were the Park Model trailers on the west side of the property. Only a couple of hundred yards walk to the main pool and resteraunt. They are basically a 1 bedroom, 1 bath home with a living room and kitchen. Great for long term visits or as a base for exploring the wine and gold mining areas a few miles west of LDS.

I don't know of a plan view of LDS, but I took the attached photo when we first bought our place there. It only shows about half of LDS and lake. I have noted location of a couple of features. The new resteraunt was not built yet, but it is ajacent to the main pool on the shore of the lake.
