Thanks button deselect

Correct me if I'm wrong or tell me to go away if this a well known issue but:

If you click the "thanks" button before viewing or downloading a pic or zip, the thanks then gets deselected.
It's no great hassle once you know but some posters may think people are being ungrateful by the lack of "thanks" when the real reason is its been deselected?

The answer is do all you activity first and click "thanks" last so it's registered properly.

No, not really. If you click "Thanks" and then click to download or enlarge a photo...
it does "appear" that the "Thanks" is deselected. However, if you click "Refresh" in your browser or just leave
that Thread and come back to it... you'll see that your "Thanks" has been registered.
