What are the rules about us putting watermarks on image we post?
I mean things like "Uploaded by Phonestuff", "found on OCC", or similar ones. The only reason I ask, is that I've acquired quite a collection of pics/vids, but don't really want them ditributed all over the net. And, in the past, I've found that putting a watermark on them discourages people from mass uploading them elsewhere. Can the Mods/Admin please get back to me on this one if possible. |

I'm not a mod but if they are your pics, you can watermark them and are okay to upload to OCC. If your watermark is your OCC name or some derivative of it you are all set. If it is significantly different you need to communicate with the mods so they won't delete them

If it's your own watermark, that isn't a problem. Usually we ask that the first time you post with your own watermark, that you make some mention of it in the post. As long as the moderators are able to recognize that it's your own mark, you won't have a problem.

thanks for the info, just thought I'd double check.
It'll be either "found on OneClickChicks" or "found by Phonestuff" if that's ok. |

Actually, I think what you're describing is different from the typical situation in which we allow people to watermark what they post here. We only allow people to watermark their original work, pictures or videos that they've taken or made themselves, or have been sent to them exclusively by others, and thus own. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you are wanting to watermark pictures that you've found, pictures that are not your own original work. If that is the case, then you would NOT be allowed to put your watermark on these pictures, since you do not own them.

That's why I thought it best to check, as different sites allow different things.
I thought if I put something like "Found by Phonestuff for OCC" (or similar) it would be ok, but if not then it's not the end of the world. I've sent you a message to elaborate a bit more, also. |
