This thread has a link to a program called "avicodec" you can download. You can use this program to analyze video files. It will tell you what codec(s) are used and what you are missing on your system to play that particular file.

Good luck,

Which player are you playing the vid in? Try using BS player that comes in the k lite codec pack. It plays most vids that I've come accross. Hope this helps.

i tend to use DivxPlayer that comes bundles with the free divx codec for most of my video watching.......if for some reason im missing a particular codec it will tell me in the error which one i need then its just a quick trip to google to find it.............i find that for some reason MJPEG codec disappears off my systerm periodically for no apparent reason so i do that alot
