What format is it currently?
Like CP said, Filefactory should be able to convert it into something playable for you. |

First thing, get it off the phone and onto a pc.
Then give it an extension ( eg mpg, mp4 ) if it is missing one, or it might have a temporary one. You will need to know what the correct extension is by comparing it to something from your device that recorded correctly. VLC player on Windows will play broken files, it will ask if you want to repair it, I always say no. Goog luck. |

Have you Googled or even tried tools like " Video Repairer" yet?
I understand your frustration, I have some video of an ex which was captured 10+ years ago on a camcorder and then imported onto the PC using Hauppauge capture card using a strange codec. This meant I could not play it on recent pc's or macs I ran the video though some expensive transcoding software and it fixed the problem for me. What ever you do - keep a backup on an external device, in case you corrupt the original any further. |
