|  Help can't view wmv and avi 
			
			What do I need to do to view avi and wmv files?  I have xp and windows media.

			hello Jarw00, and a welcome here, if you want to stay with Window mediaplayer you might want to update and download all available codecs. You can also download an additional viewer called videolan, http://www.free-codecs.com/VideoLAN_download.htm This viewer has never let me down, and they post here a lot of different files. But first of all   click here regards, woudenstocks

			I just downloaded windows 10 so what updates?  I can download AVI but not avi.

			download here additional codecs : click here Next to this not all formats , or files play in WMP 10, you will need an additional player which covers codecs which are not supported in WMP10, like the program i mentioned before or as the link posted by dro. succes, woudenstocks
