Naked woman marchs in on CBC Headquarters

Nothing like a nearly naked woman to grab Toronto’s attention. The B.C.-based organizers of the Canadian Bodypainting Championships are in town to pitch their idea for a touring show of bodypainters to the CBC investment-oriented reality show, Dragon’s Den. Model Amy Houlton led the group today along Front Street to CBC headquarters. Michael McKiernan joined them:....

10:46: Let’s cut straight to the heart of the matter: Just how naked is she? Close inspection reveals a camouflaged set of underwear and two discreet patches preserving her modesty. “It’s not a t--ty show,” Jeff warns. “Amy’s performance is just as much a work of art as my painting.”....

11:18: In the lobby of the Royal York, cartoon-style double-takes and dropped jaws abound as Amy energetically leads the small group to the Front Street entrance. A porter tries to pretend he’s not fazed, but can’t prevent a grin as he holds the door for her....

11:45: Amy poses next to the main doors, below huge images of CBC’s best-known presenters. Peter Mansbridge’s stern, 20-foot tall face seems to disapprove. Inside, an encounter with a school group elicits a mixed reaction. One girl dismisses it as “disgusting,” but some of the teenage boys can’t believe their luck: “Oh my God, was she naked?!”
