PREFACE:

I loved the original photobooth thread. It lasted 6 1/2 years and spanned over 200 pages. Today it came to an end.

For a very long time, there were questions about what was within the rules in the thread, and ultimately, rules issues were what led to its demise. Not knowing what was allowed and what wasn't, members like me indiscriminately posted everything they found. What I've learned today is that this puts OCC at risk.

Photobooth companies whose logos are included on strips posted here could go after OCC. Perhaps of even more concern, images with personally identifying info (e.g. "Adam and Eve's Wedding, 3/19/17") could lead private individuals to go after OCC. I don't think anyone here wants that.

The goal of the photobooth thread is to share what we find. We can still continue to share, but within the rules that are in place to protect this site. Images with logos and personal info can still be shared by providing links to the photos as they appear on the original photobooth site that hosts them. These images simply can't be hosted on OCC.

Besides the rules issues, there were also complaints on the original photobooth thread about the type of content being posted. The most common complaints were 1) reposts and 2) non-nudes. To address these concerns, I've created four new topical threads to help keep things organized and allow members to view only the content they wish to see.

Here's the bottom line: the original thread's demise was caused by lax reporting and lax enforcement. I aim not to let that happen in any of my threads. Anything that includes company logos, URL's, or personally identifiable information will be reported by me for deletion. Anything that is a repost of material within that same thread will be called out by me. (I understand it's hard to know if something is a repost, so I won't report these posts, just call them out, with the goal being to encourage new content. I will do this indiscriminately, so please don't take it personally.) Anything that is clearly off-topic will be reported by me for deletion.



CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE:

I will be reposting tons of content from the original photobooth thread. This is a necessary evil of starting new threads and wanting to get all the content organized into one place. But I want to give credit where credit is due.

LET'S GET THIS STARTED (OR, THE RULES):

1) No company logos/URL's. If you wish to share content containing a logo, you may provide a link to it here.

2) No personally identifiable information (i.e. names and dates that could be used to identify the person(s) in the photo). Again, you may share links here.

3) Violations of rules 1 & 2 will be reported. The original photobooth thread was way too lax on this, which ultimately led to its demise. I will personally report any offending posts.

4) Reposts of material already posted in this thread will be called out.

5) Please keep posts on-topic. No cleavage/bra shots in this thread: use the non-nude thread for that. If you're posting it here, nipple should be visible. If an image fits multiple categories, feel free to post it in all threads to which it applies.

Rule 5 Exception: Sets from the same event do not need to be split up. As long as at least one photo in the set matches the thread topic, it is perfectly fine to post the set together. (This only applies to sets. Please do not post groups of unrelated photos where only one fits the topic.)

I get that, but the original booth thread's demise came about because of the rules not being clearly and consistently adhered to. After discussions today with a mod, I've come to see that it's not worth it to put this site at risk of a lawsuit simply to get a few more photos posted here. The point is to share what we've found, right? That can still be done by using the photobooth links thread for anything with logos and names/dates on them. I'd rather do that than see OCC get sued down the line.

The topical threads is completely my idea, and if people don't like that, I take responsibility. With the original booth thread, I found it quite disorganized -- tons of great content, but if I happened to be in a particular mood, hard to wade through it all to find specific types of content.

That said, one rule I will be lax on is rule 5. I don't want to force sets to be broken up across multiple threads -- that's just silly. If you find a set with some boobs, some butts, some non-nudes, etc., feel free to post it all together as long as at least one of the images fits the topic of the thread. (Please only do this with sets, though. I don't want to see posts of ten random images where only one fits the topic.)

I realize threads with strict rules are not for everyone. Therefore, I introduce Rule 6: No one is required to participate.
