Are women embarrassed to show topless vacation pics?

I have seen girls topless with friends and family on the beach. This makes me assume they would be ok with friends, classmates, coworkers see their vacation pics, but I wonder if that is really the case.

I think the vast majority of women (95+%) would not put such photos on publicly accessible online albums attached to their face, real name etc. The number who would be ok with people seeing such photos in a physical photo album in their house or whatever is probably much higher, if maybe not quite 50/50.

It depends. I have no problem with most people I know seeing those pictures. In truth, I don’t care who sees them if my face isn’t shown. The only time it would be an issue is if it affected my professional life, so there are definitely exceptions where I wouldn’t want everyone seeing me naked, lol.

That's not what he's asking. The way he phrased the question is like "Why do women have a problem with topless photos of them being posted where friends and family can see them?" In the real world, there are real-world negative repercussions for friends and family seeing pics like that of someone.

Because of our prudish society.........my wife feels a woman should be able to go topless anywhere that a man can.

In many states and areas a woman can legally do this now.........but very few do. If most woman would practice it in no time it would be accepted and a common occurrence.

She often goes topless or even nude while on vacation. If she knows other women that also go topless, she will share her pictures with them or even be photographed with them. However, if she thinks the other women will not also go topless on their vacations, she acts as if she always keeps her top on. And she never ever shares her nude pics with any other women -- unless they are also nude in the pics with her.

I think my wife would be using the same reasoning.
Concerning the (male) partners of the other women, they would also be allowed to see her her in the same state of nudity as the women would.

Now I have noticed my wife becoming more and more carefree of who gets to see her topless/naked, so I'm still hoping some of those will end up being shown to people (as in male friends) who never got to see her like that before.

My wife always sunbathes topless on holiday even when we have been away with family and friends. She hasn’t covered up when they were taking photos so they would all have pictures with her topless in them to some extent - mostly when in the pool or at the beach in group shots.

At home we do have some pictures of her subtly topless on holiday in frames but it’s never super obvious but you could see if you looked closely.

Friends are OK - some one has posted me here, and I was not embarrassed
Most friends would go topless on the beach or boating as well as we or when they are male their gfs would..
My man was even turned on. by the discovery...

But family, especially parents, and coworkers would be different.

Two parts to it, I think:

1. What goes on tour, stays on tour. My wife does a lot of things differently when we are on holiday. She often doesn't want to be reminded of these things when at home. :-)

2. Cultural norms, as mentioned above. Links used to be shared often, a few years back, to a Czech photo storage site. Obviously opinions on this sort of thing are different there to my home as it was full of holiday albums from families, where the mother was happily topless, posing for photos and everything. And those photos would just be part of the album, in amongst pics of sightseeing, nice meals etc.
