I know what you mean. Everytime we met a couple that we played with and then later became friends, the sex didn't happen everytime. Expectations by all (mainly other hubby and I) were put in check very quickly. That was at the direction of the ladies and actually made sense at the time because each couple was involving the other in more of their social activities. We didn't want to let our respective social circles find out what we were up to. ;-)
The coolest times were the ones where the other hubby and I were figuring nothing was going to happen and then realize we were wrong. Those were the best because the more spontaneous the ladies were, the more of a turn on for me.
I say enjoy the moment and just go with it. If you start thinking and analyzing it too much, you'll drive yourself nuts.
