For me, no, most step-moms don't come into the picture until the step-daughter is beyond baby age so they haven't really raised them. And I like to be able to see the family resemblance in the faces.
Now just to show that I'm not all talk, here is one from my collection. I wonder if there is evidence these two aren't strongly related?
