I actually liked Saturday a lot, two of my favorite amateurs were posing and unlike Sunday the crowds around them were fairly small. There is also better access to the pros on Saturday.

Anyway, I'll start with some Zoe Z.
Man, I gotta get some better equipment and learn how to use it. I love sharing photos, and I want those photos to be as good as yours.

Yeah, that batgirl is Jenni Lynn, who was so popular last year. I thought I caught one brief glimpse of her from far away at the end of the day. Several of the performers don't spend any more time in front of the audience than is absolutely necessary... That's a large part of why I liked #44 so much this time around. She was out there every minute and looked like she loved every bit of it.

I know what you mean by having mixed feelings about pictures of the amateurs in the audience. I know there's a big difference between wanting to be naked in public and wanting pictures posted on the internet. If these ladies were at any other event but Nudes a Poppin' I wouldn't be so free with my camera. But this isn't any other event, this is NAP and anybody who walks in the gate must immediately be aware that everybody is taking pictures of everybody else.

My own guidelines are something like this... If she's set up in clear sight of the big traffic areas, isn't making any hint of effort to cover up, and her general demeanor is that of wanting to show off, then I don't feel the need to ask. I just take the picture. If she's walking around through the crowds, I'll usually try to ask to take the picture. If she's set up away from the big traffic areas and/or by general demeanor seems not quite so enthusiastic about showing off, I'll ask. Unless she's already posing and smiling for somebody else's camera; then I have no qualms whatsoever about getting a shot myself. But these are kind of general guidelines, and because it's NAP I don't feel bad about breaking them in order to get a good shot.

Before and after taking the picture, always always always smile, thank her, and tell her she's beautiful. (Even if she isn't.) I see so many mouth-breathing troglodytes at this event who just stare into their cameras, slack-jawed and silent. I wonder sometimes if these morons ever wonder why the girls don't smile for them.

Of the three years I've attended, only one woman denied me permission for a photo. And there was somebody outside the bodypainting booth this year asking people not to take pictures while the ladies were being painted, since they might not be ready to be seen just yet.
