Nude woman in Stephenville taken to hospital

A nude woman on Tarleton State University's campus created a stir Friday morning.

TSU Police Chief Justin Williams said officers were dispatched at 9:15 a.m. to the 1600 block of West Frey Street to investigate a report of a suspicious person.

"Upon arrival officers discovered a 26-year-old white female without any clothing standing in the parking lot of a residential facility," he said.

Williams said the woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment and observation. He said he could not confirm if she was a TSU student.

A witness said before police arrived female students were trying to cover her but she would not allow them to do so. Later, he said, she laid down on the pavement and allowed herself to be covered up.
