While I was talking to the students two other girls stopped near us on the beach, one with short dark hair and the other a blonde. The blonde stripped off her jumper and they argued for a while before she walked into the sea wearing her bra, leggings and sandals. She went in very deep and the water must have been freezing. The dark haired girl was taking photos of her on her mobile phone. One of the students wandered over to the dark haired girl and asked what was going on. The girl told her it was the result of a bet - they had been playing air hockey in the amusements and it was decided the loser would strip to their undies and go for a swim and have their photo sent to their friends!
The student asked why the blonde hadn't stripped to her knickers and the girl laughed and said:
'Cos she isn't wearing any! - and I checked! - it was wear the leggings or nothing - and boy, is she not happy. We've no towel and she's going to have to walk all the way home soaking wet - at least her jumpers dry. I'm just glad I won - I'm wearing a matching see-thru white bra and thong!'
When the blonde came out she looked frozen, but had taken it in good spirits and they wandered off looking at the photos and presumably sending them to their friends.
