You can call me cynical, but probably the reason people aren't so greatful is because they (as I) don't believe the photos are of your wife - or even of the same woman!
The photos are common pics for example from here

Now I could be wrong, perhaps you married her, and then your honeymoon pics were so great that folks everywhere started posting full pics of them, but you thought it best to crop them to protect the innocent?
Personally I don't have that much faith in human beings. Though I'd be pleased to be proved wrong.
