June Loeber, Nudist and model
June Loeber was another housewife in the late 50’s who discovered the pleasures of social nudism. Married with two sons, she and her husband practiced home nudism as a way to beat the unrelenting south Floridian summer humidity. Her husband was an amateur photographer, and by assisting him she became interested in being nude with others and possibly modeling. They joined the Spartan Club — located on the grounds of Freddy Gordon’s celebrated Tropical Gardens — where they were introduced to long-time members Bob and Mary Phillips, one week-end, where they formed a close bond. Learning that Mary was a model for the nudist magazines, June was eager to give nude modeling a try; June was always willing to don her birthday suit for a photo session. In 1962, June entered and won the title of Pageant Queen at the annual ESA cavalcade. June’s petite figure, nubile looks, natural red hair red hair and fit figure combined with a willingness to be photographed full-frontal, made June another favorite of the nudist magazines of the early 60’s.
