I've featured some stories in this tread from the shrines of the Tongo Hills where both men and women are expected to be topless when they visit. Another place where women are often "culturally" topless is the island of Yap in Micronesia. Below are some stories from that area of the world...
1. Former Peace Corps worker goes back to Yap to visit. She wants to visit the outer island of Mogmog and is told she'll have to remove her top when she goes there. On some of the islands it is mandatory to be topless.

2. Often the female Peace Corps workers wear traditional clothes when they are sworn in on Yap. Clothing on top is usually just a lei.
