Is the swinging section kept completely seperate, if we were to go are we able to just be naturists or would we just be encountering the swinging scene everywhere ?
I have been to Cap d'Agde +/- 12-13 times since the beginning of the 80's including the last 4 consecutive years, this year will be my 5th consecutive year.
Although there have been always a small group of swingers since the 70's, there was a process started in the 90's resulting in a much greater group of swingers coming to Cap d'Agde with it's peak around 2002-2004. Due to efforts from some parties, especially the camping, you see in the last years again more families and normal naturists comming to Cap d'Agde. I saw in the last few years more children than in 2006.
The whole nudist beach is about 2km long and only a small part of 100-150m is used by swingers. As normal naturists you can go very well to Cap d'Agde, you only have to know that there are also swingers who stay there.
Except some clothing worn by swingers (evening/night) and the presence of some facilities (clubs)for those swingers, you do not need to be confronted that many unsolicited. So is there a rule that the few 'open' bars have a curfew till 22hrs before they are allowed to let some stripping dance.
There are a lot of (normal) bars, restaurants, shops etc. I would say that the camping, which also has some small villa's and mobil homes for rent, is the most family friendly and naturist accomodation followed by Heliopolis and may be some villages situated more in the back of the naturist quarter, like Natureva or Port Soleil. In Port Nature there are always proportionately more swingers staying. Regarding to those facillities focused on those swingers you will find the most at Port Ambonne and a very few at Heliopolis. Facillities are mainly some clubs and clothing shops.
There is also always police patrolling around the naturist quarter and on the day on the beach, they also may use horses and they get assistance by the baywatch guys, especially if swingers deploy some activities outside the special part of the beach or in the conservancy area "Bagnas".
