Day four
For the fourth day in the area I actually spent a bit of time and money buying a few items from the local folks. A couple of nice Keen-Kutter devices and a few old Winchester knives for my collection. Spent the early afternoon at the campground and was paid a visit by a local deputy sheriff. Nice friendly fellow, I would have been surprised if I had not been contacted by the local law while camping in their jurisdiction. Small town folks take care of their own. I am sure he heard at the diner of my antique buying intentions and wanted to be sure I was on the up and up. I nearly ran him off when I mentioned that I deal in a few law enforcement equipment items as well. But he took a catalog of my wares and when he saw my very low price list he took several more catalogs back to the station. I will take a few equipment orders from the local law and will have it all drop shipped to them before it is time for me to depart the area.
Out to the farmhouse in the evening, I took another route just to be sure I was not tailed, I was not. Spent about an hour hours setting up a 16 piece clear lexan confinement box under the trap door. Luckily I was able to dig down into the unfinished floor and secure it without having to drill bolt holes in concrete. The containment is clear all around and has a door facing the front after it is all assembled. Truly a work of art, this portable MILF trap has served me well for many years. Back at the campground on the computer later in the evening I generated a bit more haunting interest in the area, but did not divulge the actual location just the general area...more to come.
