Arrow hmmm

If the laptop crashed but the HD did not fail (i.e. there is nothing physically wrong with the HD) then you can pull the HD, plug it into a USB drive and load it from another PC, but here is the kicker, you have to take ownership of the file folders (windows only) in order to access you data from another OS. The files on your C drive are protected by the system and you will get access denied unless you take ownership of the files.
