The shortness of the
clip made us all wonder
if it was real or
just a seasonal delusion blunder


The snow it was coming down
outside yes it's true, we made lines
and passed them around and all had a few
with blurry eyes
we all thought we saw this glorious elf
that started to undress herself.


but we blinked once maybe twice
and she seemed to be gone
we looked and looked and unwrapped all our gifts,
but the elf from christmas past
seemed to be just a memory in our heads.


We looked outside and the snow
was still falling
we thoughtwe heard a voice
we listened with open ears
and what did we hear


She said boys and girls
keep love alive
for next time I
will bring you all some hot toys.
