They are mom and daughter. Some years ago, there was an art student at the University of Louisville, who caused quite a stir by publishing nude photos of herself at a student exhibition. She did have to take them down before the exhibition was opened for the public. I do not know for certain that it is her, but I think it is. There is also in one of the pictures what appears to be the "Metro" section of the Louisville Courier-Journal.
