My method for downloading flickr pictures, in windows, using firefox, applying all the caveats about any other OSs and browsers:

Step 1) Find the largest size of the flickr image you want.

Step 2) Right-click on the webpage and select the option View Page Info.

Step 3) Click on the "Media" icon and scroll down until you find the image (not the spaceball nonsense obviously). Click the "Save as" button and bam, it's on your hard drive.

I'm going to guess that this doesn't work for the 4864x2736 "o" images you guys were talking about, but if you just want a large, not hi-def, photo, this method has never failed me.

P.S. the red arrows are just a joke, not trying to imply that I know more about firefox than anyone else.
