[Pedro the Fisherman]

These shots start the event 'Finale', hosted as in previous years at the (in?) famous Brighton Nude Beach. The beach was opened over 25 years ago, to much publicity as it is actually in the urban area of the city, albeit at the quieter end of a very busy and popular beach. Later, they bulldozed the shingle into a wall, to shield the users of the famous electric railway (seen in the shots) from seeing nude bodies!

To get to the beach, the riders have to cross the little railway via a small gate. This caused a huge bottleneck which allowed the snappers a great chance of getting some nice close up shots. This year a couple of the young male asian snappers (asian in the UK tends to mean Indian/Pakistan origin, rather than the less common far eastern types, the old 'Empire' is to blame!) who always crowd around at the start actually stripped naked themselves so as to 'blend in' more. They stood right by the gate with their motor drives on overload!

I found it hard to get any good shots as it was so crowded, so decided to move up the shingle bank a little later on. It is worth having a closer look at some of the shots from this section, as I was suprised at the number of girls i had missed (mostly just topless) that appear in the 'crowd' shots.
