Old school
So I grew up on Playboys (back in the era that you younguns don't understand, when actual printed pornography was the only vehicle of masturbatory material available, and three or four magazines with three pictorials each might represent a year and a half of self abuse), and Playboy's aesthetic still occupies a powerful place in my psyche. Last week, I decided to take them up on their offer of a free week's subscription to their website, and I spent that week diligently harvesting every picture of every playmate on there.
And folks, I'm here to tell you, the mystique of the 70s and 80s playmates boils down to one simple thing: tanlines. I was born in 1975, which means that 70s and 80s Playboys were my bread and butter, and I pretty much have a Pavlovian response to tanlines now.
So thanks to everybody for these awesome tanline pictures. They take me back, even though I didn't really put it together until this week.
