I've attended a couple of these runs. The first time there were no cameras at all. In 2009, there were cameras (the first time I had ever seen cameras on this beach which is tightly montored by regulars) but they belonged only to friends of runners. No outside parties were permitted to take pics. Since I did not expect to find anyone taking pics in 2009, I did not bring my camera to the beach.
It is good to see some pics, and I'm very happy that these have surfaced. I do think though that this event will continue to be semi-private and that all photographers will be watched. The Wreck establishment does not care about publicity a la WNBR, and they are not afraid to tell clueless guys with cameras that they are not welcome on the beach.
