The play requirements are that he does NOT get hard. It's the essence of the plot. His character blinds horses who witness that he can't please a woman. Because, in his eyes, as revealed through the stroy of the play, the horses are the incaration of God, God has seen him fail. So he blinds the view of God.
All I can say is that after seeing the woman in Ture Blood, I hope that he and she were very close back stage.
Now, if they would have gotten Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, THAT would have sold for years!
