In my opinion it's just bad ettiquette for somebody's first post to be a request if they do not bother uploading at least a few examples of what they requesting from others.

Since making requests isn't against the rules, the best way for us to collectively deal with this is by using polite & thoughtful replies because this forum has always had a reputaion for treating all members (new and old) with respect.

For example, if somebody makes a request without uploading at least a single file as an example it would be fair to reply to that person with a helpful note stating that they will get more replies in return if they contribute some examples first.

That being said, I want to be clear that I want all members to be treated fairly and I don't want any ill will expressed towards "newbies". We were all new here once.
