Makes sense now. I can certainly understand the frustration of uploading a large file only to get kicked off in the middle of the upload. The ability to split files in this case makes the .rar format attractive for sure.

And please understand that I was just asking a general question here. In fact, if you're the one compressing them, I feel comfortable downloading them. Sometimes I'm not sure if folks are just passing along compressed files that they picked up somewhere else, but it sounds like that's not the case here, which makes me a lot more comfortable. (Not that passing along a compressed file is a bad thing, by the way.)
