Yeah, the more they do it, I'm afraid, the less tolerant the town will become. They'll go "Wait a minute, do we REALLY want to allow toplessness here". This is what has happened in Ashland, Or and Brattleboro, VT when people have flaunted relaxed nudity laws. Its cool to be able to say that toplessness is legal, but its also safe because no one really expects that women would actually take them up on their offer en masse. Do that, and the law will get changed in no time. My hat is off to these women and to Portland, but the dark forces are probably already circling the wagon......

I don't mean to be too cynical, though, as this whole thing is cool. Great thread and pics. This is something that we have not seen hardly at all in a sizeable American city. The fact that it was well attended and locally organized and took place in a busy downtown area - that is very rare and definately something to keep an eye on.
