I'm going to go out on a limb here, because once again you brits or Aussies are using a term in a way that is unfamiliar to me. My guess (just a guess) is that a "BackPacker" to you is any tourist who travels a lot on a limited budget i.e. a student or young person who travels light and just carries everything in a backpack. But to us, a backpacker is just a person who hikes or climbs in the wilderness, not a tourist in general. Am I getting warm or is there some other explanation for the use of that term?
