Yea, network TV is free TV. I think technically anything goes after 11pm or so, but rarely do channels ever show nudity after that hou.
Occasionally, nudity or foul language will be allowed if it has a more "sophisticated" purpose. PBS will show nudity for nature shows about tribal cultures, and once they even showed nudity in an episode of "Steambath." "Saving Private Ryan" aired on ABC unedited (with violence and foul language) on Memorial Day, although even THAT drew criticism. Schindler's List was once aired on network TV unedited (with nonsexual nudity), and THAT drew criticism. Yea, some people really freak out about silly stuff.
Personally, I would much prefer to have "anything goes" after 9pm and have them clean up everything before that. There is a lot of sexual innuendo, violence in commercials and erectile-dysfunction ads that air during the day, when my kids ACTUALLY ARE watching TV (as opposed to 10pm when most of these racy shows air). I'd rather have them get rid of that and let us adults watch as much sex, nudity, violence and foul language as we want when the kiddies are in bed.
