This definitely was a software bug. Unfortunately, it was a problem for two types of visitors. Guests who were not logged in and free member's who have posted over 2 MB of attachments were not seeing the video previews where the images were smaller than our default thumbnail size. Oddly, free members who posted less than 2 MB (or never posted) were not effected by this.
Members of the video forums have always been able to see all the preview images without any problems.
Now we've fixed it so the preview images in the video forums should display properly for all of our visitors. There should never be any red
X's on the forums.
